About Us

Caring for you like family

Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care provides an environment to allow people to remain as independent as they can for as long as possible. Nursing care, under physician’s direction, increases the quality of life for participants by allowing them to remain at home or with family members longer. With 30+ years of experience with persons with chronic medical conditions, and including Alzheimer’s, Pleasant Day is the natural step between healthy living and a 24 hour care facility.

Our Vision

Founded in 1987, Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care strives to provide respite for both families and participants. With a fleet of buses equipped with hydraulic lifts, Pleasant Day drivers arrive to your door and help participants onto the bus. Every participants is given a hearty, nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack regulated and signed-off by a certified dietician and conforms with the Maryland CACFP. Activities are held throughout the day to keep participants interested and active. Daily exercise is included in the events, including nature walks and team games. Small group activities are held for clubs such as art classes, computers, music, and more.

  • [My Uncle] is 93 years old and lives alone in his one bedroom apartment. Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care has really given me peace of mind knowing my uncle is cared for while I'm working and he really enjoys going.
